Reserves Director Ms. An-Janet Smith
An-Janet Smith grew up in the North Shore area and has served as an educator for the Scarlets organization for 6 years. She has received three Dazzling Diamond awards from former students and truly appreciates getting to be a part of their lives and assist in excelling in their passion. An-Janet Smith served as a member of the North Shore Middle School Fillies Squad Leader. Once at North Shore Ninth Grade campus, she served as a Squad leader for the Scarlet Reserves and continued to audition as a Varsity Scarlet team member. Once on the Varsity Scarlets dance team she would serve as Co-Captain her junior year and serve as Captain her senior year. An-Janet would join the dance program at San Jacinto College central campus for two years and would then transfer to Texas A&M University in College Station. She would major in Theater Arts, English, and History and obtain a minor in Dance and Spanish. An-Janet Smith would serve as an aide for the Scarlet organization throughout her time in college and at the university. Also throughout this time, An-Janet would also be a part of a professional clogging team that would obtain several national awards and recognition. An-Janet would also be hired as a choreographer for several musicals with various theater companies in the Houston area. Currently, An-Janet Smith is Director of the Scarlet Reserves organization for the freshman campus. Her biggest joy in life is her two children Breyin and Aaliyah Smith. Breyin and Aaliyah are the most amazing accomplishment in Ms. Smith’s life and are the biggest joy and driving force in her life. Family is everything and without them she would not be able to have the accomplishments that she was able to obtain. Shoe would like to send the deepest thank you to her family and the Scarlet organization for all of the love, support, and memories. <3
